Train-Active Supports and Loc-Stabilizing Orthoses
Bauerfeind supports and orthoses relief back pain and stabilize the spine. They are suitable for providing acute care, for boosting rehabilitation and for preventive use.
LumboTrain/LumboTrain Lady
Lumbago, sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SIJD): there are many names for pain in the lower back. LumboTrain® active supports can help. The triangular friction pad in the support provides a stimulating massage effect to the muscles of the lower back with every movement to help to reduce tension in the lumbar region and relieve pain.
DorsoTrain
If the back is stiff and bent and can no longer be fully straightened without assistance, Dor-soTrain can help. This orthosis, shaped like a body with lateral body straps and a plastic rod integrated into the back section, aligns the spine and gives you support. It is therefore suitable in cases of osteoporosis, stiff thoracic spine and hunched backs.
SacroLoc
The SacroLoc® orthosis can provide the correct support for sacroiliac joint syndrome (SI joint syndrome) and pain. It stabilizes and relieves pressure on the pelvis and symphysis and, with its two-part visco-elastic cushion (pad), massages the sacroiliac joints. This stimulates circulation, thus helping the healing process.
LordoLoc
LordoLoc is suitable for use as a back support for the stabilization of the lumbar spine, for example in the event of chronic lumbar vertebral syndrome. The stabilizing orthosis with four 91/4″ integral anatomically contoured flexible lightweight aluminium stays has a muscle-activating effect, relieves the spine and is very low-profile. The degree of stabilization can be adjusted to provide optimal individual support to the lower back.
LumboLoc
In the event of pain in the lumbar spine (lumbar vertebral syndrome) or moderate muscle weakness, LumboLoc aligns the lumbar spine and relieves the intervertebral discs. Anatomically contoured corset stays at the rear of the orthosis support the back while an individually adjustable compression acts upon the lumbar spine to control motion and limit pain. LumboLoc is easy to adapt to individual body shapes providing the perfect fit.
LumboLoc Forte
In cases of lumbar vertebral syndrome or severe muscular weakness of the spine, LumboLoc Forte acts as a fixed support on the lumbar spine. Integral corset stays at the back support an anatomically correct posture. In addition, two different pressure cushions (pads) in the orthosis can be used to massage either the lumbar region or sacrum.
SecuTec Lumbo
SecuTec Lumbo is suitable for reducing lordosis (“hollow back”), for example after back operations. It acts upon the spine via a sturdy yet thin carbon-fiber frame in an anatomical knit. The degree of stabilization can be adjusted in line with the progress of treatment, with the orthosis being stripped down accordingly.
SecuTec Dorso
SecuTec Dorso® provides emergency treatment in the event of a prolapse (intervertebral disk prolapse) or muscular degeneration. It acts as a pressure-relieving support from the lumbar spine to the lower thoracic spine using eight to ten corset stays in an anatomical knit. The functional orthosis can be put on and taken off easily, even by older patients.
SofTec Dorso
The SofTec® Dorso multi-purpose orthosis is used in cases of vertebral displacement (spondylodesis), and also after operations on tumors, and to keep fractures immobile. It straightens the spine and stabilizes the transition point between the lumbar and thoracic spinal columns. It is almost as easy to put on as a jacket and is easily adjustable in several places.
SofTec Lumbo
Following an injury or condition of the lumbar spinal column, vertebral displacement (spondylolisthesis) or sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SIJD), mobilization of the muscles of the back can be promoted with varying degrees of intensity using the modular orthosis SoftTec® Lumbo. Individual components of the orthosis can be added, replaced or removed as required. These adjustments can even be made while the user is lying in a hospital bed.
Spinova back orthoses
Spinova multifunctional orthoses are used to correct posture or to provide relief for the lumbar spine. The lumbar orthoses are an effective method of preventing non-physiological loading of the spine and the intervertebral disks.
Spinova Immo
The orthosis is intended for the conservative treatment of simple and stable fractures, among other conditions. The combination of the Spinova tensioning strap system and the plastic shell system stabilizes and relieves pressure on the spine. The breathable materials and anatomic fit of the orthosis increase wearing comfort for the patient.
Spinova Immo Plus
Following surgery on the lumbar spine, such as for vertebral displacement (spondylolisthesis) or spinal canal stenosis, mobilization of the muscles of the back can be promoted with varying degrees of intensity using the modular orthosis Spinova Immo Plus. Individual elements, such as the abdominal pad, shell or aluminum stays can be inserted, replaced or removed as needed.
Spinova Support Plus
The large back pad on the orthosis distributes forces away from the lumbar spine out toward the thoracic spine, pelvis and sacrum. The moderate lordosis-reducing effect relieves the lumbar spine. This effect is also supported by the abdominal pad – it compresses the abdomen and straightens the spine. Depending on the course of treatment, the spine can be mobilized by removing the back pad.
Spinova Unload Plus
The bridging frame of the orthosis distributes (bridges) the forces acting on the spine out toward the thoracic spine, pelvis and sacrum. This reduces lordosis of the lumbar spine. The abdominal pad compresses the abdomen and also helps to straighten the spine and relieve the lumbar region.
